Food & Clothing Bank Ministry

Open every Saturday, 10-11:00am

The purpose of Gateway’s Food & Clothing Bank is to express the love and compassion of God to the people of the communities around us by serving them in practical ways that touch very real felt needs. Those who attend the Food & Clothing Bank are treated with dignity and respect, and their privacy is always maintained. The food we distribute is provided by Winnipeg Harvest as well as by contributions by people within Gateway Church. When requested, volunteers from the Food & Clothing Bank are available to provide emotional or spiritual support, and when available, home visits.

The volunteers arrive each Saturday at 8.30am. The doors open for the clients at 8.45am, at which time coffee and donuts are served, registration beginning at 9:00am.

The Food & Clothing Bank opens for distribution from 10am to 11am.

For those in need...

If you are in need and would like to use Gateway's Food & Clothing Bank, please call 982-3660, Monday to Wednesday, 9:15am-3:30pm, before the Saturday you would like to attend.  Please bring your Manitoba Health Card for identification whenever you attend.

If you arrive at the foodbank without pre-registering the week before, you will be asked to wait until all those who have registered go through first -- unless it is your first time attending, in which case, you will be able to go through sooner.
